Facebook → frames

Turn a Facebook video into a reviewable set of stills.

Paste a public Facebook video, Reel or share link. Preview six frames without an account, then sign up free to extract a frame every few seconds and download the complete set as a ZIP.

How to extract frames from a Facebook video

Links that work

  • facebook.com/share/v/… and /share/r/…
  • facebook.com/watch/?v=…
  • facebook.com/reel/…
  • fb.watch/…

Only videos visible to everyone can be processed. Group-only, friends-only and deleted videos return an error and cost nothing.

    Copy the video link

Use Share → Copy link on a public video or Reel. facebook.com/share/…, /watch, /reel/ and fb.watch links are accepted.

  2. 02

    Preview it

Paste the link above to see six stills taken across the video.

  3. 03

    Export the full set

Create a free account, choose an interval or a frame count, and download every frame with its timestamp.

For review and documentation

Where Facebook frames save hours

Ad creative review

Turn your video ads into a contact sheet so stakeholders can approve scenes without watching the whole spot.

Content moderation

Review public videos as stills with timestamps and flag the exact moment that needs attention.

Community and event archives

Keep key moments from livestream replays and event videos your organisation published.

Journalism and research

Document what a public video showed, with frame-accurate timestamps, for citation and fact-checking.

Contact sheet

A frame every five seconds, zipped

For ad reviews and moderation you want the whole video at a glance. An interval of five seconds on a two-minute video gives 24 frames, delivered as a single ZIP your team can open anywhere.

  • output: zip bundles every frame into one download
  • Filenames include the frame index for easy ordering
  • Webhooks notify your system when long videos finish

Automate it

How link extraction works

Link extraction runs on GetVideoFrames servers: we fetch the public video, decode it with FFmpeg and keep only the frames for 1–7 days depending on your plan. Process videos you own or are authorised to review.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract frames from a Facebook Reel?
Yes. Paste the Reel or its share link. Reels are processed like regular videos and keep their vertical format.
Do Facebook share links work?
Yes. Links such as facebook.com/share/r/… or /share/v/… are resolved to the underlying public video automatically.
Can I extract frames from a Facebook Live replay?
Once the live has ended and the replay is public, yes — within your plan's video length limit (10 minutes free, up to 180 minutes on Scale). Use start and end to process just one part.
Why can't you process my Facebook video?
It is usually not public: posts in groups, friends-only posts or videos that were removed. Failed links show the reason and never use credits.
Is my video stored?
No. We download the public video temporarily to decode it and keep only the frames, which are deleted automatically after 1 day on Free and 7 days on paid plans.
