GetVideoFrames ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Achieve Apex LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use GetVideoFrames on the web, in the desktop and iOS apps, through the API, or through a connected assistant. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information when you use our Service:

• Account information: when you register, we collect your email address and login records.
• Video URLs: when you submit a public video link, we collect that URL.
• Video content: for a public-link job, our servers temporarily process that video so we can extract still frames. A video you open in the browser, desktop app, or iOS app is processed on your device and is not uploaded for that local workflow.
• Generated frames: for a public-link job, we store the still images our system produces.
• Usage data: we collect information about how you use the Service, such as features used and the time and outcome of a job.
• Device information: we may collect an IP address, browser or app type, and operating system. A preview without an account stores a keyed hash of an IP address, not the address itself.
• API keys: we store only a hash of an API key, so we cannot show the key again after it is created.
• Billing information: payment card details for website purchases are processed by Stripe. iOS purchases are processed by Apple. We receive limited billing metadata needed to support the account. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Extract frames from a public video link and show the resulting job
• Operate your account and answer support requests
• Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
• Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse and other illegal activity
• Protect the rights and property of GetVideoFrames and others

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share information as follows. We do not sell personal data.

• Service providers: Amazon Web Services stores frame files and hosts the Service. Stripe processes website payments. Apple processes iOS purchases. PostHog receives privacy-safe product analytics. Email delivery and support tools process messages you send us. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services to us.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or by a valid request from a public authority.
• Business transfers: we may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or similar transaction.
• With your consent: we may share information with your consent or at your direction.

5. Data Retention

The source video downloaded for a public-link job is deleted when the job ends. Frame files from that job are deleted automatically after the retention period attached to the job, which is 1 day or 7 days. Account records stay while the account is open and afterward only as needed for security, support, fraud prevention, or legal duties. Website analytics identifiers can last up to 365 days. You may ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, subject to records we must keep by law.

6. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information we process, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we maintain about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@getvideoframes.com. You can also revoke an API key in the developer dashboard and stop using the Service at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. International Data Transfers

Achieve Apex LLC is based in the United States. Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. If you are located outside the United States, please note that U.S. data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Please review this page periodically.
